Microfilm Records
Document Actions
The Library has two microfilm reader / printer stations for public use. Cost is 25 cents per print. These machines will be phased out by 2012 as the Library's Collection goes DIGITAL!
U.S. Census --- will be replaced by a subscription to Ancestry.com
Microfilm records are available for Montgomery, Macoupin, and many surrounding Illinois counties.
Litchfield Newspapers --- will be available on digital format
Local newspapers are available on microfilm from 1857. Papers vary from the Litchfield Daily Herald, Litchfield Monitor, Litchfield News-Herald, and Montgomery County News.
